Disenchantment

8 Oct

is a feeling of morosity.  It’s rarely a positive emotion to give of yourself in passion and deed only to step away and realize you’re the only one invested.

Time to quit beating the dead horse.

moving on.

The last time I acknowledged feeling that way was when in 1998 I had partnered with six people to create a company that would have made Dave and Busters look like a five-n-dime. Everybody wanted to be a part, that is, until it was time to pony up the cash to hang on to the building until the bank approved our business loan… Then I was the only one standing. I saw it through it’s demise… Alone. Never again, I pledged, to involve others in business that were not as vested as I was.

If it isn’t business, though, at some point you have to come around to the honeymoon stage again… It’s just how the wheels on the bus go ’round and ’round…
