In early 2009, I ventured into the blogosphere to serve as an avenue for sharing thoughts and perspectives, namely mine, with the few people who don’t mind reading. Over the course of time that has passed since my first entry I’ve had many different experiences, good and bad, that have been nursed, praised, and drawn out through literary explanation on these very pages. I have a few rules for how and what I write. First and foremost, if I don’t have anything to say, I don’t say anything. It’s my belief that you should never write past your thoughts, meaning that milking thoughts to produce longer flowery sentences doesn’t serve any purpose than the writer’s ego. This isn’t a research paper, there are no requirements.
The other main rule that I have for myself is to use this website as an opportunity to show any reader that comes my way how I see the world. It’s a venue for my perspective. I don’t see it as a mode for talking about myself or enlightening the world with all Annie. You won’t see many pictures of me. You may not find out much about what is going on deep in my personal life. I’m fairly certain that there is a finite amount of people who would care to read such fodder. But from time to time, I may bring you in and expound on something I’m facing in my life. Those moments will most likely be instances where my writing is my most therapeutic way of handling the situation. I hope that you can share with me in those moments and feel comfortable opening up your similar experiences, heartaches, celebrations, and emotions.
